What is PASS?

PASS combines authentication services such as simplified identity verification, mobile identification (driver's license, resident registration card), and PASS certificates. It allows you to conveniently check your benefits and asset information all at once in your wallet.

Main features:

• Identity verification: Easily verify personal identity through password or biometric authentication and check authentication history using the PASS app
• Mobile identification: Register driver's license and resident registration card in PASS for convenient and legally recognized use, equivalent to physical identification cards
• Identification verification: Verify the authenticity of others' mobile identification cards
• Smart ticket: Scan QR code to check identification and flight ticket information for domestic flights
• PASS certificate: Provides various financial, public service authentication, login, and electronic signature services
• Electronic documents: Issuance, viewing, and submission of certificates from government agencies
• PASS money: Withdraw money accumulated in PASS to your bank account like cash
• Asset inquiry and recommendations: Check scattered asset information and receive recommendations for financial products that suit you
• Mobile payment: Check usage history and limits of mobile payments
• Provides various services that are useful in everyday life such as financial, health, security, and mobile phone price inquiry
• Prevention of identity theft: Free service to check if a mobile phone has been subscribed under your name and to verify identity theft in real-time

Usage information:

• PASS is a free service provided by LG Uplus
• Membership registration: After installing the app, complete the identity verification and register a password or biometric authentication information to complete the service registration
• Simplified identity verification: After completing the authentication through PASS app, simplified identity verification is completed. Setting app notifications to ON allows for faster use. (Notifications cannot be received if attempting authentication after deleting the app)
• Mobile driver's license verification: Register the driver's license in PASS for safe use both online and offline. When requested by an organization/verifier, if they read the QR code/barcode on the mobile driver's license screen, verification is completed
• Mobile resident registration card verification: Without a physical resident registration card, registration of the information listed on the card in PASS allows for adult verification and identification confirmation. When an organization/verifier reads the QR code, authenticity is confirmed
• PASS certificate: After completing identity verification and account verification in your name, you can issue a certificate for use. The issued certificate can be used for 3 years.

Note:

• Password authentication method: Available on all devices with iOS 11 or later. For fingerprint and face recognition methods, available on devices with Touch ID and Face ID features.
• Data call charges may apply when using 3G/LTE/roaming, depending on your plan.
• Service access may be restricted on devices released by other telecommunication companies.
• If you manipulate your phone's operating system environment (rooting, hacking, etc.), PASS service may not function.
• Your app password is not stored separately for privacy protection. Please be careful not to lose your password.

Optional access permissions:

• Notification permission: Used to receive notifications for service usage
• Camera permission: Used for QR code authentication, taking photos of driver's licenses, verifying identification cards, and using the phone security service (web inspection)
• Location information permission: Used when submitting (sending) mobile driver's license verification to financial institutions and government agencies, and using the phone security service (network inspection)
• Biometric information permission: Used for fingerprint/Face ID authentication for identity verification
• Photo permission: Used when attaching images or photos

Note: You can still use the service even if you do not agree to provide optional access permissions.
